The house is quiet, and dark. I haven’t woken up to such a place in a long time. I don’t know where to start. There’s so much to choose from. I sit down at the computer. My eyes glaze over. My back starts to hurt. The cats keep staring at me. I don’t know what they want. Another email. Another new person. I have too many things to do. My mind wanders to anything that isn’t present. It doesn’t have much to choose from. I need to prepare for 2 meetings tonight. Clean the house. Make tea. Edit. Respond. Run errands.

I turned on some lights and the sun is coming out. But the house is still quiet.
